Well if you're an England supporter, as many of you are, you've probably heard the official Embrace World Cup anthem by now. Here's an unlikely competitor. The World Cup squads are assembling prior to the World Cup, which starts in less than three weeks time. It's a chance for the coaches to get the group of players actually playing as a team... Two new features :)
First, you can now add an image to your user page. Just go to the edit profile page and choose a JPG file to upload. Look out for the 
icon to show if a user has a picture.
Second, for all you tech-heads, all mini-league banter boards now have an RSS feed. This means you can subscribe for the latest banter updates with your favourite feed reader or browser. Look for the 
icon in your browser's address bar to subscribe.
Many people have asked me "how do I see the predictions of other people in my mini-league?" The answer used to be... "you can't". Until today: now you've got a choice, you can make your predictions public or private. Just go to the edit profile page.
If you choose private, then only you can see your predictions. If you choose public, other people will be able to see them as well. Look for links saying "View full predictions" on the league tables to click through to your friends' predictions.
Two new great features:
Every mini-league now has a banter board where you can post messages: who do you think is going to win, comments on your colleague's latest haircut, and so on
If you run a mini-league, you can now invite users. Just find their user page from the entrants list and click the link to invite them.
England supportes might be beginning to think their players' feet are jinxed. Wayne Rooney now faces an uphill battle to be ready for the World Cup. Sven Goran Eriksson has said he will pick Rooney in his squad even if he's only fit for the World Cup Final. Perhaps he only needs to be fit to hobble on in the 120th minute and take a penalty.
Fair's fair, if England loses one of its best players, all the other teams should also give up one player. If you could eliminate one player from each of the other main contenders for the World Cup, who would you choose? Post your comments below...
