Alan is Number 1Alan Wolfe is the Fantasy FA Cup 2004 champion! Yet another perfect prediction of 3-0 took his tally to 156, shattering the all-time record of 127. Alan had 18 perfect predictions in the competition, at least one in every round; and finishes an amazing 33 points ahead of his nearest rival, Chas Adrion from Rochester, New York. Scottie Bainbridge held on to third spot, while Andy "come on Silkmen" was fourth and Marc Braterman and Athletico de Madrid tying for fifth. There were plenty of entrants correcting predicting the 3-0 scoreline, including Alan, Andy and Marc, as well as BiggyB, Colin Fallon, Maggie Ryan, Mark Mc Avoy, bigbadfuds, jonE, Ralph Mayer, Stew Utd, Imran Inamdar, Joe McAweaney, Mez, Peter Voigt, James Whitelock, Dean Hobkirk, Daryl Sabatini, Darren Hunt, Lance Hobbs, Joe Kelly, Dan Brown and Haz Ley. Check back soon for reaction from this year's winner, Alan Wolfe. So that's it... another season over, another record-breaking year. I'm off to live in India in September. So will this be the last ever Fantasy FA Cup? Don't bet on it. Matt Mayer, May 2004 |
