Jamie Dodger

jamie from Sheffield grabbed a five-point lead at the top of the Fantasy FA Cup leaderboard after the four quarter-final ties at the weekend. He correctly predicted Southampton's 2-0 win over Wolves and Sheffield Utd's 1-0 victory against Leeds, contributing towards his 25 point total for the round. That was enough to move him from 12th to 1st. Previous leader Tim Roberts slipped to seventh, while aie ...... from Malaysa takes second place. From his profile page "I'm quite good ehh?"

But it was far, far lower down the table where the true drama unfolded. James Hazell of Worthing scored an unprecedented 30 points for the round, including the perfect prediction of Arsenal and Chelsea's 2-2 draw, one of only 13 entrants to predict this correctly. James finds immortality on the records page

Highly dubious

There were the usual dismal performances too of course, including Daniel Cain, who wasn't Abel to score a single point. And a certain Matthew Mayer is doing quite well now, up to joint sixteenth overall. Entrants are expected to be highly dubious if he continues to rise through the rankings.

Equinespy writes "Interestingly, joint fifth placed Andrew Flower, is an anagram of the closely named Andrew Fowler, mythical brother of Mark Fowler of Eastenders fame. Tim Roberts though surely hails as the greatest anagram conundrum available on the boards, by becoming none other then Trebor Mits."

Team of the round

Sheffield Utd dispatched troubled Leeds United and reached their second cup semi-final this year. It was Steve Kabba who eventually managed to separate the teams with a 10 yard shot last in the second half. A devastating blow for Leeds, ending their European hopes, but a great result for Sheffield Utd.
