ENTER NEWS L/BOARD ARCHIVE FUN FA CUP

Tuesday 5:
The Eagle has landed

Andrew Taylor shrugged off the burden of being a Crystal Palace supporter to take the lead of Fantasy FA Cup after the fourth round ties had been completed. A correct prediction of Gillingham 1, Bristol Rovers 0 wrapped up his 30 points for the round. Andrew Flower kept up the chase with four points from the last two games.

Simon Harding was the only entrant to correctly predict Tottenham's 4-0 thrashing of Bolton, although he is still in 105th place overall!

Sunday 27:
The 'Andy Men (again)

The Battle of the Andys continued as Andrew Taylor and Andrew Flower hung on to their lead of the competition.

Stewart May and Smik Lakhani are the two entrants closest to Andrew Taylor in the chase for the fourth round prize ... Stewart's 22 points have already lifted him up seventeen places into 3rd!

Dushal Patel reached fourth place ... and since he was the winner in 1997, there are now TWO previous champions in the top five!

Joe Kelly of Cyprus had a good day - he has now scored 39 points overall and moves into the top ten.

Peter Thomas was the only person to correctly predict Newcastle's 4-2 win over Peterborough, a much needed boost which lifted him to 18th overall.

Saturday 26:
The 'Andy Men

It was a good day to be called Andrew, as Andrew Taylor and Andrew Flower battled out for the lead of Fantasy FA Cup. Nine matches were played in all, with Andrew Taylor narrowly gaining a one-point advantage, scoring 16 points for the round overall.

Andrew is no stranger to Fantasy FA Cup ... in fact he won the competition in 2000! (See report) However there are many new entrants in the top 10, including representatives from Australia, the USA, Ireland, Canada and Singapore.

There was very good news for Devinder of Kuala Lumpur who also scored 16 points for the round, a feat which moved him up 76 places to 14th!

The best performance of the round though was by Smik Lakhani, who scored a tremendous 18 points, including the shock 2-1 defeat of Charlton by Walsall. Since he hadn't entered the third round this moved him up to the dizzy heights of 96th... but he is in with a chance of claiming the fourth-round prize.

As usual there were some impressive individual predictions: Simon O'Neil, Rory Tierney and Adam Dunn all correctly predicted Everton's 4-1 win over Leyton Orient.

The Great Debate: What was the performance of the round?
