Wednesday 16: More Flower power

The battle at the top of the Fantasy FA Cup leaderboard between Andrew Flower and David Ford continues, with Andrew snatching a slender one-point lead after the conclusion of the third round. Michael Bradley climbs seven places to 3rd, along with namesake Michael from Watford. Dushal Patel, the winner of the very first Fantasy FA Cup competition in 1997 also climbs to 6th.

Remember the person who scores the most points in the fourth round will win a stylish miniature radio, so make your predictions today.

Tuesday 8: Ford heads the board ... again

David Ford has regained his lead at the top of the Fantasy FA Cup leaderboard after Tuesday's four matches. His correct 1-3 prediction of Southend vs Tranmere brought his total number of perfect predictions to six!

Gary Wooldridge of Dudley moves into second place along with Andrew Flower, while Hong-Yueh Tey is the highest placed entrant from outside the UK in 7th.

Barry Bridges of Crawley and Matt from Chelmsford are the current back-markers, picking up a desultory 9 points from the 26 ties so far. Barry has entered every Fantasy FA Cup competition to date and is no stranger to the lower reaches of the table.

Sunday 6: Flower power

Andrew Flower from Horsham has sped to the top of the Fantasy FA Cup leaderboard. Andrew is currently studying Maths at Cambridge University ... perhaps this has given him an edge in predicting the scorelines!

Andrew is currently sharing the lead with Steve Dalton of Crawley, who was runner-up last year. Both Andrew and Steve predicted two results exactly correctly from the five games played on Sunday.

There were some other bloomin' marvellous performances in the FA Cup, with Cardiff City knocking out Leeds Utd and Bristol Rovers defeating Derby County. Comeback kings Manchester Utd beat Aston Villa 3-2, scoring three goals in five minutes.

Saturday 5: Ford heads the board

David Ford from Crawley in Sussex has taken the lead of Fantasy FA Cup 2002 after the weather had taken its toll on the weekend's fixtures. Just 17 of the 32 ties took place on Saturday, but there was still time for some memorable performances. David predicted five ties completely correctly, including Ipswich's 4-1 win over Dagenham and Redbridge.

It's a worldwide top three with American Kewell10 and Australian Zane Fonzarelli taking third and fourth places. Steve Dalton is the highest place previous entrant in fourth.

There were some excellent predictions by individual entrants: as well as David Ford, Super Jay, Richard Barnes, Greg Edwards and ttw predicted the 4-1 result at Ipswich, while Titch Hanlon was the only player to predict the 2-4 scoreline between Watford and Arsenal.

Further down the table there are representatives from Scotland, Wales, Singapore, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Japan, Finland, Cyprus, Kuwait, Jordan, Canada and Bulgaria, among others.

Finally, spare a thought for John-Mark Gook of Woody Point in Canada. He scored 6 points ... fewer than the entrants who didn't bother to change their predictions from 0-0. He is rooted to the foot of the table in 130th.
