Andrew lifts the cup at last

Andrew Taylor, of 6.93, has finally won Fantasy FA Cup on his fourth attempt, after a tense final afternoon.

Only a 1-0 win to Chelsea would see Andrew topple leader Darrel Bryant, who eventually ended up as runner-up.

The other entrant to score 20 points by predicting both score and winner correctly was Stewart Spear, who shot up from 17th to 5th, pipping best-placed teacher Mr Taylor on the tie-break.

At the foot of the table, Andrew Bunday scored another magnificent nil points to clinch the wooden spoon for the third successive year, although Richard Mann's dire performances earlier in the competition had always made it a close run thing.

Vialli vanquishes Villa

A 73rd minute goal from Roberto Di Matteo won Chelsea the FA Cup for the second time in four years.

The goal came after Villa goalkeeper David James dropped a Zola free kick into Di Matteo's path via the chest of Gareth Southgate.

In a poor first half, each side had only one shot on goal, with Wise and Merson failing to really test the opposing goalies.

Wise had a goal disallowed for offside in the second hald, while Weah missed from six yards when he should have scored.

Disappointment for Villa and relief for Chelsea.
