Will Daz clean up?

Darrel Bryant has opened up a commanding lead at the top of the Fantasy FA Cup leaderboard. A vital 12 points from the round saw him open up an 8 point lead over nearest rival Andrew Taylor.

Darrel was one of just three entrants who scored twelve points for the round, the others being Paul Tester and Mr Taylor. Mr Taylor‘s points moved him up eight places to ninth and into contention.

132 out of the 138 points scored in the round were from the Chelsea v Newcastle match (see right), Chris Hanlon being the only person to predict a draw at full-time between Aston Villa and Bolton.

There was little change at the foot of the table, the bottom six failing to score and therefore remaining rooted to the bottom. They are now joined by Mr Hopkins, whose dire performance saw him drop below Mr Apsey and become the worst-placed teacher.

Poyet pair nails Newcastle

Chelsea 2
Newcastle Utd	1

Uruguayan Gustavo Poyet struck twice for Chelsea as Newcastle lost at Wembley again.

His first came following an exchange of passes with Sutton and Weah before lifting the ball over Shay Given.

Newcastle equalised with a Rob Lee myheader from Shearer‘s cross but six minutes later, Poyet headed the winner from a Harley cross.

Despite almost constant pressure from Newcastle in the last 15 minutes, Chelsea held on to make it into the final.
