| Cox steers
into second place Although David Allen still appears to be keeping his stranglehold over this year's Fantasy FA Cup competition, he is rapidly being caught up by the chasing pack, currently led by Alistair Cox (11.78). Alistair's tally of 18 points from the seven fifth round ties so far lifted him from joint sixth into second place, closely followed by Daniel Bristow, Adam Dunn and Andrew Taylor, who share third. Alistair's tally of 18 points was the joint highest of the round, together with Daniel Bristow and Sam O'Hara. Sam's points took him up 8 places from 27th to 19th. The staff entrants seem to be getting the hang of the competition, with all four gaining 15 points from the round. Pupils Adam Dunn, Stewart Spear, Anthony Cole and Richard Mann also picked up 15 points apiece. Andrew Bunday stays rooted to the bottom of the table after scoring a measly 6 points. |
Arsenal 2 Sheffield Utd 1 In an unprecedented decision, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger offered to replay their Cup tie with Sheffield Utd as a result of Arsenal's controversial winning goal. An Arsenal throw-in was destined for the Sheffield Utd goalie, after his team put the ball out of play following an injury on the pitch. Kanu intercepted the ball and passed it to Overmars who then scored. |
