Dalton shoots into pole position

Stephen Dalton, of 10.51, has taken the joint lead of Fantasy FA Cup 1998 after what can only be described as one of the most impressive climbs ever to be seen in Fantasy FA Cup.

Stephen was down in 14th place after scoring just 17 points from the third round ties. But he notched up an incredible 30 points in the fourth round, including four totally correct predictions.

Stephen is joined by Robert Smith, who also had an excellent fourth round moving up from 7th into joint first place.

Meanwhile, Mr Cantor dropped into 12th place after a poor fourth round performance. However nobody can better Andrew Bunday, who somehow achieved the feat of scoring just 6 points from his fourth round predictions.

There was also the usual variety of predictions. Dushal Patel, winner of last year's competition predicted Aston Villa's 4-0 victory over WBA.

Ryan Keogh was again a little out, predicting a 6 000 000 - 7 win for Arsenal. The score was 2-1

Stevenage embarrass their Premiership visitors

Kenny Dalglish's 60 million pound star-studded team were thoroughly and deservedly embarrassed by a team of van drivers and shopkeepers from Stevenage Borough.

Alan Shearer started his first full match for Newcastle after a long break due to injury, and immediately opened the scoring, with a goal in the second minute. It should have been easy for the Magpies from then on, but it proved to be just the opposite.

In the second half, Grazioli scored a well deserved equaliser for Stevenage, taking the match to St James' Park for a replay.
