Barry Bridges made the most impressive prediction - cprrectly predicting the 6-0 thrashing of Chester by Middlesbrough.

Ties postposted as the big freeze sets in

FA Cup ties were hit hard by the cold period. Only 18 of the planned 32 matches actually took place on time. However there were many exciting matches. Manchester Utd beat injury-stricken Tottenham Hotspur in a well-fought battle, with goals by Scholes and Beckham. Premiership team Southampton were knocked out by Reading 3-1. Giant-killers Hednesford Town knocked out York with a penalty in the 43th minute.
